Fluoridated Salt Intake Reduces Decay Up To 60%

Due to the high incidence of caries in the Peruvian population, Dr. Jim Romero Lloclla, the Oral Health Strategy Health of the Ministry of Health (MoH) recommends consumption of fluoridated salt in foods.

He said that diseases affecting the oral cavity by about 90% of the Peruvian population, among them being dental caries, periodontal disease and tooth bad positions, the most common.

To prevent these evils, he suggested the consumption of fluoridated salt in food, a substance that reinforces and strengthens the tooth structure; remineralising surface when decalcification by acids produced by bacteria generated.
