Phobias are psychological disorders that are characterized by an excessive and irrational fear of some object, situation, place or activity.

Phobia for attending the consultation of the dentist is no exception to this, those suffering from this disorder feel unable to control this feeling and try, by all means possible to avoid that which will cause dizziness, body weakness, sweating, tachycardia and digestive problems , as in this case to go to the dentist.

Why do we suffer from dental phobia?
Among the most common causes are: Having experienced a traumatic event in childhood, fear of contagious diseases, unpleasant feeling to see blood, fear of injections and panic at the prospect of a tooth extraction. As a result avoid or delay for years the dental visit, greatly increasing their risk of dental disease increasingly complicated.
