Brush Teeth Comfortably Without Vomiting

People who have a high gag reflex often encounter difficulties when seeing a dentist, or even when brushing your teeth every day. Actually, everyone has a gag reflex which is a normal body reaction to prevent choking when foreign substances or dangerous objects into the upper respiratory tract and lungs. Gag reflex will occur when certain areas untouched in the oral cavity, including the palate (especially the rear), the back of the tongue, tonsils and part of the tip area of the throat. This reflex in some people so sensitive that it is difficult to receive dental care because they feel like throwing up when entering dental instruments (eg glass mouth) into the oral cavity. So also when going to brush my teeth, especially back teeth.

A hypersensitive gag reflex was triggered by a factor of physiology, psychology, or a combination of both, but in general, psychological factors play a larger role. It is possible that these people have experienced past trauma such as when seeing a dentist so that there are certain areas more easily experienced gag reflex.

Some people believe that with a hard brush, will make your teeth clean and white. This assumption must be changed, for brushing your teeth hard with a toothbrush using a rough surface, actually making teeth become painful and brittle.
